Welcome to the Chimpanzee class!

This is going to be an exciting year full of learning, challenges, and achievements. In Year 6, we'll be working hard, supporting each other, and aiming high!

We believe that every day is a chance to learn something new, try our best, and make a difference. Together, we'll make this your most successful and favourite year yet! There are lots of good memories to be made!

 General Information

PE Days: Monday and Thursday 

 Friday- Reading records are checked on a Friday but they should be coming into school every day. Children should be reading at least 3 times a week, which will need to be signed by an adult in their reading records. Please encourage your children to read over and above the minimum requirement.

This year, we will be using Emile Spelling scheme. You have been provided logins so that you can access the app from home to support your learning of your spellings. 

 Year 6 recommended reads 

Further reading recommendations can be found at www.thereaderteacher.com 

The website includes useful suggestions for different text types including non-fiction, poetry, picture books and graphic novels. It also recommends books for the more reluctant readers.
