Safer Internet Day
Dear Parents & Carers,
Next week - from the 9th - 15th February - it is Children's Mental Health Week. The theme of the week this year is: This is my place. Throughout the week we will be exploring what it means to belong and what makes us, us! This will include activities in class, assemblies and videos all marking the week and allowing space for these hugely important conversations.
On Friday 13th February, we would like to invite all children to come to school dressed in clothes that 'make them feel themselves'. We are not asking for any donations on this day specifically but if you would like to donate to Place2Be - the charity behind Children's Mental Health Week then you can do so here.
Tuesday 10th February also marks this year's Safer Internet Day with the theme: Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI. Tuesday will be given over to exploring this hugely important subject which sits perfectly within Children's Mental Health Week.
We are sure the children will have lots to tell you about throughout the week!
With thanks for your ongoing support,
Mr Frecknall
(Assistant Headteacher/Senior Mental Health Lead/Online Safety)
